Hjørtkjær et al. (2025)Real-time control of a hearing instrument with EEG-based attention decoding

This paper demonstrates a closed-loop system in which EEG signals are decoded in real time to identify which speaker a listener is attending to, and the output is used to directly control a hearing aid’s beamforming direction. It is a significant step toward practical auditory attention decoding in everyday listening devices.
